The increased use of social media in the current era has led to a rise in actions that constitute crimes punishable by law through the use of electronic means. Recognizing this, the Jordanian legislator recently intervened by issuing Cybercrime Law No. 17 of 2023. This law imposes significant penalties, whether financial or in terms of restricting personal freedom through imprisonment. Therefore, the selection of a specialized lawyer for individuals accused of violating the provisions of this law is crucial, often contributing to avoiding conviction with these severe penalties.
